October is here and the leaves are changing across the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Depending on where you are in the state, you’re witnessing a different stage of transformation. If you’re hoping to chase the changes throughout the month, here is where and when to see the fall colors in Wisconsin.

When are fall colors at their peak in Oshkosh, WI?

According to the Travel Wisconsin Fall Color Map, Oshkosh is currently at 35% for its changing colors. The city is estimated to reach peak transformation the fourth week of October 2020. While places like Terrell Park and Asylum Point Park offer exceptional views of the changing foliage, Menominee Park, which borders Lake Winnebago gives a panoramic look at the fall colors. Just a five minute walk from Menominee Park is our waterfront guest home, which overlooks Lake Winnebago. Our floor-to-ceiling windows make it impossible to miss the changing colors and gives guests a front row seat at peak season.

When is the best time to see fall colors in Waupaca, WI?

Waupaca is already showing off its fall colors at 75%, according to Travel Wisconsin’s Fall Color Map. This year, its peak is estimated to be the second week of October. Local hiking spots like the Ice Age Trail at Hartman State Park offer beautiful views of fall foliage. Our rustic cabin rests right on Miner Lake and is surrounded by trees. You can pull one of our Adirondack chairs to the end of the dock, cozy up with a warm beverage and blanket and take in the changing colors. Our Cottage on Lake Beasley is nestled in a wooded lot where it’s impossible to miss fall’s transformation. Whether you choose to take in the sights from our screened in deck equipped with a wood-burning fireplace or from our fire pit that overlooks the lake, you’re in for a full performance from Mother Nature. Our vintage trailer on Grandview sits on a spacious lot that’s also surrounded by trees. With a cozy fire pit and Adirondack chairs to sit in, the trailer is a special place to experience the changing seasons.
