These Whimsical Kids' Rooms Guarantee Sweet Dreams
kid-friendly vacation rentals in savannah, ga
Adults aren’t the only guests who get a special experience when they stay at an Elsewhere home. We aim to bring magic and whimsy into every space, which is easy to do when children are innately more imaginative than we are. Our Madison Square Manor in Savannah’s Historic District is home to some of our favorite kids’ spaces. After adding little ones to our family, we gave new life to two of the existing rooms in our home to accommodate dress up, puppet shows, coloring and sweet dreams.
The most common thread in our kids’ rooms at the Madison Square Manor is our collection of precious Maileg bunnies. We started our little rabbit family with some found at the Paris Market on Broughton Street in Savannah. The bunnies’ pram, tea set, beds, table and chairs, also by Maileg, came from The Paris Market as well.
On the top floor of the manor is the kids’ bedroom, which is directly off of the master suite. Two lush twin beds from Restoration Hardware anchor the room, but playful linens and throw pillows paired with the Maileg bunnies give the space character and personality.
One floor down from the master suite is the children's playroom. With ample room to pretend and play, the space can still double as a bedroom for guests. At the center of the room is a play table and chairs from Pottery Barn that’s perfect for tea parties and drawing.
To the left of the bed in the playroom is a darling play French cafe from Crate & Kids that certainly pays homage to our love of the Paris Market. Little ones can play make believe and offer pretend croissants and macaroons to their guests (second only to real macaroons at the Paris Market).
Our goal in every home is to create spaces that invite guests of all ages to gather and spend time together. Despite being rooms designated for little ones, we ensure the bedding and furniture are comfortable for every visitor. These spaces should be where books are read, family movies are watched and dreams are shared.
We hope to invite our guests and their families to share in the joy we created in these spaces at the Madison Square Manor. Savannah’s magic is palpable, but it’s only magnified when we get to experience it with our favorite little humans.
