COVID-19 Cancelled Your Wedding - We Can Help
Should you cancel your wedding due to the Coronavirus?
Many of our friends have had to make the heartbreaking, but selfless decision to cancel or postpone their weddings in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent call for social distancing. As most weddings include 50 or more guests, couples are putting their most special day on hold to prioritize the well being of their loved ones. Our team at Elsewhere is hoping to provide a last-minute solution for those who still wish to exchange their vows in the Summer and Fall 2020 while remaining respectful of our collective goal of social distancing.
Elsewhere has spaces in Savannah, GA and Waupaca, WI, both of which can be utilized for hosting small gatherings and intimate wedding celebrations. For couples who hope to celebrate their unions despite these challenging times, we can accommodate groups that adhere to national standards and regulations. We recognize and encourage the importance of staying home as much as possible. We also hope to offer an option that allows a couple to celebrate their special day among their closest family and friends in the coming months as we keep our eyes and ears open to health experts’ recommendations.
Last-minute wedding venues in Savannah, GA
For those in Georgia, Elsewhere’s Harris Street Estate in Savannah, GA rests directly on Madison Square in the Historic District. Couples can walk out our front steps and be greeted by their loved ones in the public square across the street. Available starting June 2020, our Harris Street Estate offers 7-9 bedrooms, 6-7 full bathrooms, 3.5 half bathrooms and exceptional common areas for gathering. At the back of the property is a private courtyard that connects the main home to its carriage house. The courtyard can double as an outdoor reception or ceremony space.
Small wedding venues in Waupaca, WI
Wisconsin couples can retreat to our Historic Cabin on Miner Lake in Waupaca, WI. This rustic space has already served as an intimate wedding venue for some of Elsewhere’s loved ones. With a quiet, no-wake lake as the backdrop for a vow exchange, the 100-year-old cabin is ideal for the couple hoping to keep their ceremony private and picturesque. The cabin can sleep up to eight adults who are comfortable sharing beds. However, if guests are hoping to spread out, our Luxury Trailer on Grandview is a short walk up the road and available for additional guests. The trailer offers a spacious backyard, which can be used for a small reception by campfire. Both the cabin and trailer will be available starting September 2020.
There is a great deal of uncertainty taking place around us right now. We’re not sure what the future holds for us in the coming months. While the best thing we can all do at the present time is stay home and limit our interactions with others, we’re holding onto the hope that in a few months we will have the ability to connect with loved ones in small groups once again. Our hope is that by the time we reach the summer and fall months, couples celebrating their unions can do so with their closest friends and family in attendance. Please connect with us at Elsewhere if our homes can serve as the venue for your wedding day.
