Things to do for Labor Day 2022 near Great Barrington, MA

Bedroom at Elsewhere in the Berkshires

If you’ve planned your trip to Elsewhere in the Berkshires over Labor Day weekend this year, then you’ll be pleased to know that there are all sorts of events going on in the area over that weekend. We’ve highlighted just a few of the most exciting things to do for Labor Day 2022 not far from Great Barrington, Massachusetts. These events will be held at some of the places we’ve touched on throughout the summer that are great ideas for things to do all year round!

Tanglewood Popular Artist Series

You might remember us touching base on the Tanglewood Popular Artist Series earlier this year, but Labor Day Weekend will be the final three shows of the concert series. The weekend kicks off on Saturday the 3rd with Judy Collins and Richard Thompson, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. On Sunday night, the legendary Van Morrison will follow them up with the same times. Then on Labor Day itself the iconic Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band will close things out, with gates opening at 3 p.m. and the show kicking off at 6 p.m.

A Walk in the Woods from Shakespeare & Company

Since mid-July, Shakespeare & Company has been hosting an incredible two-man performance at The Roman Garden Theatre, A Walk in the Woods featuring Allyn Burrows and Jonathan Epstein. The show’s run will end over Labor Day weekend as well, with a performance at 1:30 p.m. on Friday the 2nd, then performances at 10:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Classical Concert: The Knights Orchestra

Finally, you can head to The Clark on Sunday, September 4th, for an hour-long performance from 4-5 p.m. by the Knight’s Orchestra. This New York City-based orchestra will put on an incredible performance in celebration of the exhibition Rodin in the United States: Confronting the Modern, so we recommend checking out the exhibition at the museum before attending.

These are just a few good ideas for ways to spend your Labor Day weekend here in the Great Barrington area. If you won’t be staying at Elsewhere in the Berkshires over this long weekend, be sure to book a future vacation to make sure you can enjoy all the incredible activities and events in the area.
