But we want to take care of more than your vacation, we want to help make the happiest day of your life something truly special. That’s why we’re currently working on renovating the Elsewhere Retreat in Waupaca, Wisconsin, our new wedding venue and campground perfect for your special day. You can now book your dream wedding for Summer 2023 and beyond, and we cannot wait to help you make lasting memories.
The Wedding Ceremony
Your wedding should be one of the most special days of your life, and booking your wedding at our Elsewhere Retreat will certainly help make that dream a reality. Our property has a stunning little wedding chapel nestled into a beautiful little forest overlooking a pair of private lakes. The chapel sits up to 150 guests for an extra romantic indoor ceremony, or you can elect to take advantage of our outdoor ceremony options instead, taking advantage of the beautiful scenery.
With our Bridal and Honeymoon Suite, you’ll have a pair of separate rooms for the bride and groom to prepare for the ceremony. The bride will benefit from her own personal quarters with everything she could need to get ready for the big day, including getting her hair done, her makeup, even a mani/pedi. Likewise, the groom benefits from a special quarters of his own, outfitted with sofas, televisions and a pool table for he and his friends to relax and get ready.
The Wedding Reception
When the ceremony is finished, you and up to 150 guests will be able to shift to our indoor restaurant and bar for a catered dinner. There are plenty of great catering options in the area that we can recommend, and they’ll benefit from a large, fully outfitted kitchen to get everything ready for the reception. With an additional outdoor bar, you and your closest friends and family are sure to enjoy your special day well into the night.
Accommodations
The beauty of our property is that you’ll benefit from onsite accommodations for up to 75 individuals, so you and those closest to you can enjoy the property beyond just the wedding day and night. In addition to the aforementioned bridal & honeymoon suite, which features two bedrooms and two full baths on top of all the previous amenities, your guests will have plenty of different options from which to choose.
A total of six cabins which each feature a queen bunk and a private queen bedroom
Four different renovated Vintage Shasta trailers which each feature a queen bed and a convertible dinette for additional sleeping area
Four total canvas wall tents that each offer a queen bed, sofas and their own private deck area
Features & Amenities
No matter how much time you and your guests choose to spend with us, you will be able to take advantage of a host of different features and amenities. Those two private lakes come with gear for fishing, canoeing, paddling, floating or just going for a swim. There are fire pits for outdoor evenings, or 50 acres of private trails to hike during the day. Top top everything off, a recreation center offers a movie screen, a ton of board games, sofas and tables and even its own minibar.
You will have no shortage of fun at the Elsewhere Retreat, and the beautiful chapel and reception hall are sure to help make your special day the best it can be. Our season starts in mid-May and ranges through mid-October, and we’ve already opened bookings for Summer 2023.
