Check out just a few options we think it might be best to try out first!

Greenock Country Club

Within a half an hour of Great Barrington is the Greenock Country Club, located in Lee, MA. Open to the public with affordable rates, it’s a great course on which you can play nine or go around twice for the full 18 experience. Considered by many to be the Berkshires’ hidden gem, you’ll enjoy a lovely and well-maintained course with challenging holes to tackle.

Wahconah Country Club

While it’s a bit further away than Greenock in Lee, Wahconah Country Club is another excellent course open to the public. Located in Dalton, MA, the course features a full 18 championship holes nestled in the absolutely breathtaking hills of the Berkshires. The front nine feature open fairways with large greens, while the back nine narrow the fairways a bit and line them with trees then shrink the greens as well.

Donnybrook Golf Club

Not too much further than Wahconah, the Donnybrook might sound more like a fight club than a golf club, but we assure you it’s a picturesque golf course surrounded by the forested mountains home to the Berkshires. The Donnybrook Golf Club offers nine holes at a very affordable price seven days a week, and you’re sure to enjoy the challenging yet gorgeous course despite the drive.

Taconic Golf Club

If you’re comfortable traveling a bit further for a solid day of golfing, then you don’t want to miss your chance at playing Taconic Golf Club. Previously listed as one of the top five college golf courses in the country, Williams College’s course is absolutely stunning, with beautiful landscape scenery and a fun and challenging experience. It has several tee options from which to choose and remains well-maintained, so it’s sure to make the trip to Williamstown worth it.
